Pathways to Research
There are as many ways to get involved with research as an undergraduate as there are unanswered questions!
At Oberlin, undergraduate research often begins in the classroom. Undergraduate Research Intensive (URI) courses at Oberlin, supported by OUR, provide opportunities to students and faculty to explore the possibilities of collaborative research and to provide core research-readiness training. In addition to URI-courses, research often begins with Winter Term projects or co-curricular activities.
Before reaching out to departments or faculty about specific research opportunities, consider asking: Is Research Right for Me? or scheduling an appointment to discuss your possibilities with a Research Ambassador, who will have the most up-to-date information.
