Thank you for your significant contribution to a successful and healthy fall semester! As you are aware, staff, faculty, and a small number of students will continue to come to campus between November 25 and the end of the year.

In the past week, we’ve heard some positive news regarding the development of a COVID-19 vaccine by the pharmaceutical company Pfizer. There is also a second viable vaccine by Moderna, which reportedly has an even higher success rate.
We all have been working under the threat of this pandemic for the past eight months. The college has worked hard to reduce the number of people working on campus, with the goal of protecting the health and safety of our community.
As many of us prepare to leave campus and travel home to visit family, the safety precautions we take have not only to do with our concern for the community here in Oberlin but also for our communities and families at home.
Most of our students are nearing the end of their on-campus experience for the fall semester. I want to thank you once again for the phenomenal job you have done following the Community Agreement and other ObieSafe protocols.
As Thanksgiving approaches, please use extra precautions in terms of consistent mask-wearing and a minimum of 6-feet of physical distancing. You've done a great job throughout the semester, don't let up now.
In our ongoing effort to improve upon the strategies that protect our health, we are expanding the application of Full Measure, the daily survey that results in a green or gray access pass that you can display on your mobile phone.
