Undergraduate Research and Labs

Students interested in performing research in the department should complete a research interest form. The department is currently advertising for Fall 2026 research positions (key dates below). See links to specific faculty labs on the right for more information on current projects taking place.

Deadline for full consideration is June 30 2026, and you will receive an update on the status of your submission by late July.

Faculty will review submissions, and students will be contacted by individual faculty for meetings. Selection will be by mutual agreement of individual student/faculty pairs. We expect that demand for spots will exceed supply, so submitting a form and attending a meeting with a faculty member does not guarantee a laboratory position. Even if you aren't selected during the initial placement of students, you will remain in the pool in the event a spot opens up later.
