Undergraduate Research and Labs

Students interested in performing research in the department should complete a research interest form. The department is currently advertising for Fall 2025 research positions (key dates below). See links to specific faculty labs on the right for more information on current projects taking place.

Key Dates

Deadline for full consideration is June 30 2025, and you will receive an update on the status of your application by late July.

Faculty will review submissions for a given term during the month following the term's deadline for full consideration. Students will be contacted by individual faculty for meetings. Selection will be by mutual agreement of individual student/faculty pairs. We expect that demand for spots will exceed supply, so the application itself, and a meeting with a faculty member, is not a guarantee of a spot. Even if you aren't selected during the initial placement of applicants you will remain in the pool in the event a spot opens up later.
