Welcome to Oberlin!
The Center for Student Success coaches Obies to reach their full potential by:
- Understanding Self
- Creating Connections
- Building Life Skills
We empower students to take charge of their collegiate experience through personal and group coaching sessions, fostering self-defined student success. Students can also connect with us for:
- First-generation and income-eligible (FGIE) student support
- Co-curricular credit-bearing learning opportunities
- Personal strengths development

We are a people-centered team that believes in the power of positivity and that developing an asset-based mindset will help students succeed. Each staff member within the Center for Student Success is committed to helping all Obies thrive socially, academically, and professionally on campus and beyond.
Next Steps
1. Check your Oberlin email to complete the CliftonStrengths assessment.
2. Attend one CSS Summer Virtual Session:
- Register for July 1, 2025 at 8:00 PM EST (for parents and supporters).
- Register for July 8, 2025 at 8:00 PM EST (for students).
- Register for July 10, 2025 at 7:00 PM EST (for students).
3. Schedule a success coaching appointment to get a head start on the semester.
4. If you identify as first-generation or income eligible (FGIE student), attend the “Meet the Peer Mentors” virtual session:
