Important Announcement

Due to Governor DeWine closing Ohio public schools for three weeks, the following protocols will go into effect for the Community Music School:

1. Private lessons will happen at your usual time and place through this coming Sunday, March 15. Beginning Monday, March 16 we will go to online private lessons as much as is possible for each individual student.  I am working with our faculty to educate them on Zoom and Skype lessons.  We will let you know how this will work before next Monday morning.

2. All CMS classes will be canceled until further notice. My hope is that we will be able to finish out the semester at a later date.

We are doing our utmost to make  the best of a difficult situation.  I would like to keep as much of our education going as is possible. We will, of course, refund you for any classes/lessons that do not get held.

The Community Music School (CMS) of the Oberlin Conservatory seeks to provide students with an exceptional educational and artistic experience while fostering a lifelong appreciation and commitment to excellence in music. The function of the CMS is to promote the broader missions of the Conservatory of Music at Oberlin College: the performance, creation, and study of music at the highest level.

Oberlin is committed to helping students who need assistance to participate in our programs through tuition reduction.

Oberlin Community Music School is grateful for the generous support from Nord Family Foundation.
