We're excited to welcome our new Obies to campus! Before arriving, please ensure that you complete the following to-do list. Additional to-do items will be added this summer and announced in your weekly "Ready, Set, Oberlin!" emails.

Please note that you will need access to your Oberlin Account. Within three days of confirming your enrollment, you should have received an email from noreply@oberlin.edu with instructions on how to set up your ObieID and access your Oberlin email account. Please check your spam folder if you do not see this message in your inbox. Oberlin College and Conservatory often uses photographic and electronic images or audio recordings of public campus life, events, concerts, ceremonies, and other activities to advance the mission of the institution. The images and recordings may appear in publications (print or digital), videos, and/or internet sites associated with Oberlin. Please complete this media release form by August 1, 2026. Please contact the Office of Communications (communications@oberlin.edu) with any questions.
All incoming students must submit the Medical History/Physical Exam, the Certificate of Immunization, and the Consent for Medical Treatment of a Minor (if applicable), along with a copy (both sides) of their current health insurance card. Completed and signed forms should be uploaded directly to the Student Health Portal, which you can access with your ObieID username and password. Forms are available as .pdf downloads on the Student Health Services website

The Banner Web Proxy system allows students to grant access for others to see Financial Aid, Registration and Schedule, Student Accounts, and Student Records information. College is a great time to explore how you learn, connect with others, and get things done. CliftonStrengths gives you a place to start making sense of what works best for you. Some subject areas require students to take a placement test or complete a survey prior to registration. View additional information on the Academic Advising Resource Center (AARC)'s Incoming Students website. Pay close attention to the deadlines, which vary depending on the subject area.
The first step in building your fall schedule is to submit your first-year seminar preferences. The submission form, along with a form for academic areas of interest and an optional language interest form, can be found under the "My Engage Forms" drop-down list on your Engage Dashboard.

Create your first-year student portfolio. This is a chance to introduce yourself to your summer advisor and your academic advisor and reflect on your academic and co-curricular interests and goals. Early in the summer, you can begin completing the About Me and Term Objectives sections. You will receive additional information about completing the Academic Planning section after you are placed in a first-year seminar in June.
