The Cat in the Cream is a student organization as well as a performance space on the Oberlin College campus. It hosts great free programs including:

  • Traditional coffeehouse fare of folk music, jazz, and poetry
  • Improv and sketch comedy
  • Student jazz ensembles
  • Student theater
  • Dance
  • Storytelling
  • End-of-semester performances by Oberlin Steel and the Dead Hear Footsteps radio program

The Cat is also a fully functioning coffeehouse that is open when the performance space is in use and for occasional study breaks during each semester. Along with hot and cold beverages, customers can snack on World Famous Cat Cookies: giant homemade chocolate chip or oatmeal and raisin cookies. Vegan options are available.
