Check My Financial Aid Status Using Banner Self Service

Please Note:  Prospective students will not be able to access Banner Self Service. All prospective students and recently admitted students must continue to check their Student Portal on the Admissions website.

For continuing students, information about your financial aid application status [i.e., which forms have been received and which are outstanding] and financial aid awards is available through Banner Self Service , Oberlin’s online records system.

To find financial aid information in Banner Self Service, you will need your Oberlin identification number [your T number] and your personal identification number [PIN number]. These are the same numbers you use for registration.

Applicants for Financial Aid

Your T number is printed on the top right corner of all financial aid letters.  T numbers are confidential and should be safeguarded.

When you enter Banner Self Service  for the first time, your PIN will be preset to your birth date in a MMDDYY format. For security reasons, once you sign on using that PIN, you will be told that the PIN is disabled and asked to create a new PIN immediately.  You will be prompted to select a new PIN and a security question that will allow you to access Banner Self Service.

If you forget your PIN, please contact the Office of Financial Aid to have it reset.

Banner Self Service is available only to students that have applied for financial aid at Oberlin. Award information will be made available on Banner Self Service at the same time that financial award letters are mailed [usually in early June].

Current Students

Current students should use their Banner Self Service PIN number to access financial aid information on Banner Self Service

Award information for returning students is made available on Banner Self Service at the same time that financial aid award letters are mailed [usually beginning in June preceding the academic year].

Current students who forget their PIN should contact the Office of the Registrar at registrar@oberlin.edu  for assistance.
