Oberlin Blogs

Ozzie F. ’27/’28

Hey everybody! My name is Ozzie and I’m originally from a small town in western Massachusetts (think Oberlin but with real maple syrup and Dunkin’ instead of Slow Train). I didn’t really know much about Oberlin before I visited, but after touring in my junior year I found myself endlessly reading blogs to kill time on the car ride home. I ended up applying Early Decision, and several years later, I am now a blogger myself.

Here at Oberlin, I’m a third-year and a member of the first cohort of BA/BFA dual degree students at Oberlin, which is a five-year program that culminates with a year of integrated art-making in Cleveland. My BA is a double major in Dance and Sociology and I’m also minoring in Gender, Sexuality, & Feminist Studies (GSFS)!

When I’m not in class or holed up in the art library, I can often be found line dancing at the ’Sco or teaching my Experimental College class with the Oberlin Contact Improvisation Collective (OCIC). I live and dine in Harkness Co-op, where I am an Accessibility Coordinator for the Oberlin Student Cooperative Association (OSCA). And in the few moments when I’m not doing any of the aforementioned things, I like to do crossword puzzles and water my plants. If you have any questions feel free to reach out or come find me at a Hark meal!
