Welcome to the second installment of Ask a Friend, in which four of my fellow Obies share their thoughts on the ups and downs of college life.

As I settle back into a community I will be with for the next 1.5 years, I want to pay homage to the places and people who have hosted me this past year.

Swim, sort frozen meat, repeat.

Weather problems aside, it's been lovely to get the chance to really explore Oberlin's campus with this project.

It's not all that they said it would be.

Reflections on my most emotionally charged semester yet.

I'm not a Theater major, and I've never actually taken a theater class. But I've found that there's a vibrant student theatre scene on campus, and that there are opportunities for non-majors to act in the department shows that happen each semester.

For the student-athlete considering going abroad -- I say go for it.

And ultimately, end.

I want to be truthful about my whole experience: the joys, the triumphs, and the pain. No semester is ever all good or all bad.

For all of you high school seniors at home filling out your college applications right now, this is a blog post for you. It's written specifically to myself, but extrapolate my own advice into your own experiences.
