Walter Thomas-Patterson ’25 has earned a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship (ETA) to Ecuador for the 2025-2026 academic year.

Noah Elazar ’25, a double major in computer science and politics, is receiving Oberlin’s 2025 Nexial Prize, an honor presented to an outstanding science student with aspirations for interdisciplinary research.

Thanks to the Summer Research Early Identification Program, Ariel Papas ’26 will spend the summer completing research at Stanford University. 

At Oberlin, Emi Kawamura ‘27 has excelled at nurturing her multiple academic interests. 

Skye Jalal ’25 has been awarded a 2025 Thomas J. Wat­son Fel­low­ship, a one-year grant that funds pur­pose­ful, inde­pen­dent explo­ration out­side the Unit­ed States.

The third-year Oberlin student will complete his studies as a Goldwater Scholar.

As a recent recipient of the Goldwater Scholarship, the third-year student will continue to work toward educational equity and responsible technology.

Five Oberlin faculty members received Excellence in Teaching Awards for the 2023-24 academic year.

Lillian Gibson ’25, who majors in history and minors in Spanish and Africana Studies, will graduate this semester after a vibrant and fulfilling time at Oberlin College.
