How soon after being hired do benefits go into effect?
If your date of hire is on the first day of the month, benefits will be effective on your date of hire.
If your date of hire is not on the first day of the month, benefits go into effect on the first day of the month following your date of hire.
Date of hire is July 1st; benefit effective date will be July 1st
Date of hire is July 13th; benefit effective date will be August 1st

When is the Annual Open Enrollment period?
Open Enrollment for Oberlin College is held during the month of October. Any changes made will be effective January 1st.
Active employees, retirees and qualified dependents are encouraged to attend our Annual Benefits Fair held at the Hotel at Oberlin. More details coming soon.
