If your date of hire is on the first of the month, your benefits begin that day. If your date of hire is not on the first of the month, benefits begin on the first of the month following your date of hire.
New faculty and staff members will receive an invite to attend our Benefits Orientation. If unable to attend during scheduled times, you may email Human Resources to request an appointment.
Enrollment must be done within 31 days of eligibility. Failure to enroll within 31 days may result in forfeiture of certain enrollment rights.
If you want to make changes to your enrollment choices, a qualifying event must take place, such as marriage, divorce, birth/adoption, change in dependent eligibility, a change in employment status, or loss of other coverage.
Every October, Open Enrollment is available, allowing you to make changes to your benefits. Any changes made during the open enrollment period will become effective January 1st of the following calendar year.
