Spring 2024 New Students and Students Returning From Leave
If you did not live on-campus during the Fall 2023 semester but plan to attend classes on the Oberlin Campus during Winter Term or Spring Semester 2024, please take note of the following important information.
Action Required: Complete the Winter/Spring Housing Request and the Housing Application
To facilitate your housing placement, we kindly request that you complete the Housing Request and the Housing Application. Your preferences, previous semesters at Oberlin, and the availability of requested space types will be taken into consideration during the assignment process.
Deadline to Apply: December 18, 2023
Limited Availability of Certain Spaces
Please be aware that single occupancy rooms, divided doubles, and apartments are limited. The typical placement for students during this time is double occupancy spaces with roommates.
Timeline for Housing Placements
Winter Term: Students returning for Winter Term will receive their housing placement at the end of December.
Spring Semester: Students returning for the Spring Semester can expect to receive their housing placements in mid-January.

Spring 2024 Early Arrival
Spring semester on-campus housing will open on February 3, 2024, at noon for students not registered for Winter Housing. If an on-campus student needs to return to campus early, they can request a one or two day early arrival.
The cost is $80 per night and includes housing and dining.
Spring 2024 Early Arrival Registration
Deadline to Apply: January 31, 2024
Late Fees: A $50 late fee will be applied if the application is received after January 31, 2024. Students who arrive on campus without prior authorization will be charged $250/per night.
Department Sponsored Early Arrival Requests
Oberlin departments and offices can submit a request for their student workers to arrive early for the spring semester via the Early Arrival Registration. This arrangement comes with the added benefit of no housing charges. However, it's important to note that the requesting department assumes responsibility for a dining charge of $40 per person per night.
