The F1RST Newsletter

Oberlin's virtual newsletter for the first-generation and income-eligible (FGIE) campus community, titled "The F1RST", was originally distributed in the fall of 2023. Written by and for members of the FGIE community, this bi-annual newsletter identifies and celebrates FGIE community members, shares tips and tricks for thriving in college, highlights community events, and identifies engagement opportunities for FGIE students.

"The First" virtual newsletter comes out each semester, and all first-generation and income-eligible students, staff, faculty and alumni at Oberlin are encouraged to participate. If you're interested in contributing a piece to "The F1RST", you can submit your content proposal for review.  Poetry, photography, opinion pieces, interviews and other relevant materials are welcome.
