The F1RST Newsletter

Oberlin's newsletter for the first-generation and income-eligible (FGIE) campus community, titled "The F1RST" was originally distributed in fall of 2023. Written by and for members of the FGIE community, the virtual newsletter highlights events and activities on campus for first-generation and income-eligible students. Issues often contain tips and tricks for thriving in college, interviews with fellow FGIE students, staff, faculty or alumni, and identifies community-building and personal development opportunities for FGIE students.

"The First" comes out each semester, and all Oberlin first-generation and income-eligible students, staff, faculty and alumni are encouraged to participate. If you're interested in contributing a piece to "The F1RST", you can submit your content proposal for review.
