Ariel Roberts ’25

Hi, everyone! My name is Ariel and I’m a fourth-year from River Forest, IL (a suburb outside of Chicago). I'm majoring in Cinema Studies and minoring in East Asian Studies and Creative Writing.

Outside of class, I enjoy watching East Asian films, listening to rock music, and playing/watching video games. I consider my greatest achievement to be 100%-ing Majora’s Mask 3D. I have a ceaseless love of reading and writing, which has contributed to my interest in learning languages and maintaining my Duolingo streak. I’m often at Oberlin Community of Writers (OCOW) meetings working on fiction stories or poetry. I’ve been a member of choir since I was a kid and now at Oberlin am a part of the Musical Union as a soprano. I love animals, specifically my dog Sailor and guinea pigs Smores and Toffee back home, so you might find me squirrel-watching in Tappan Square or petting the kittens at the Ginko Gallery. You can also likely catch me hanging out in the Mudd Library, attending various concerts around campus, or eating a meal at Keep!
