Undergraduate Research
OCRF Eligibility
To be eligible to apply for the Oberlin College Research Fellowship, you must meet all of the following criteria:
- Non-graduating Oberlin College who was enrolled during the 2020-21 academic year
- Able to undertake full-time research and programming June 13th - August 5th, 2021
- No other major commitments between June 13th - August 5th (e.g. classes, other employment, etc.)
- Good academic standing and cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 or higher
- Have not previously participated in 2 summers of OCRF Research; and
- Identification with one or more of the following:
- Low-income (Pell Grant eligible or the equivalent)
- First-generation college student (no parent or guardian has ever been awarded a Bachelor's Degree), or
- Of color (Black, Latinx, Native American, Pacific Islander, or of Asian or Middle Eastern descent)
There is no citizenship requirement for OCRF, and undocumented students with DACA are encouraged to apply.
