OCRF Eligibility

To be eligible to apply for the Oberlin College Research Fellowship, you must meet all the following criteria:

  1. Non-graduating Oberlin College student who was enrolled during the 2022-23 academic year
  2. Able to undertake full-time research and programming June 5th - July 28th, 2023
  3. No other major commitments between June 5th - July 28th (e.g. classes, other employment, etc.)
  4. Good academic standing 
  5. Have not previously participated in two summers of OCRF Research
  6. Identification with one or more of the following:
    • First-generation college student (no parent or guardian has ever been awarded a Bachelor's Degree)
    • Low-income (Pell Grant eligible or the equivalent)
    • Person of color (i.e., Black, Latinx, Indigineous, Pacific Islander, Asian, or Middle Eastern)
      There is no citizenship requirement for OCRF, and undocumented students are encouraged to apply.
