OCRF Benefits

Fellows receive one summer of support, mentoring, and funding for student research including:

• A stipend of $4,500 (before taxes) per summer
• An additional $350 per summer for research supplies or travel
• On-campus housing is available at a flat rate of $840 for the duration of OSRI; funding is available based on financial need 
• Mentoring from an Oberlin College or Conservatory faculty member
• Professional-development workshops and activities
• Participation in the annual Oberlin College Undergraduate Research Symposium

Fellows will also have the ability to reapply for a second summer. Fellowships will be awarded to students for the cohort beginning summer 2023.

Fellows are required to be in residence in Oberlin during the first summer of the award to participate in OCRF workshops and activities and the Oberlin Summer Research Institute (OSRI).
