Piazzolla's bandoneón player to perform at Oberlin

Renowned tango musicians Cristina Pérsico, singer, Daniel Binelli, bandoneón, and Polly Ferman, piano, will present an evening of intimate tango on Friday, April 26 in Clonick Hall in the Kohl Building beginning at 8:00 pm. Admission is free and open to the public.

Oberlin Vies for Popular Vote in Earth Month Video Competition

Oberlin will be recognized this month as one of 20 colleges and universities nationwide that exemplify the mission of the American College & University Presidents’ Climate Commitment (ACUPCC) to re-stabilize the earth’s climate. Oberlin is also vying for the top spot in a public video voting competition.

Take 2: Beethoven's Complete Works for Cello with Piano

Faculty pianist Peter Takács and guest cellist Robert deMaine present a series of two concerts embodying Beethoven's complete works for cello and piano. The concerts take place on April 14 and May 5, and are free; no tickets are required.

Influential Physicist Lisa Randall Gives Convocation Talk

Harvard professor Lisa Randall is a theoretical physicist and expert on particle physics and cosmology. She will give a free, public talk at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, in Finney Chapel. No ticket required.
