Starting February 13, 2024, Oberlin College faculty and staff will be able to access LinkedIn Learning content. LinkedIn Learning is an on-demand learning solution designed to help you gain new skills and advance your career. LinkedIn Learning is available at no cost to all active faculty and staff at Oberlin College.

LinkedIn Learning has a personalized approach, which sets it apart from other learning platforms. Leveraging data-driven insights from millions of professionals across the global LinkedIn network, you'll receive customized course recommendations tailored to your unique interests and career aspirations.

Access LinkedIn Learning via the link emailed to you to activate your institutional license.

No. You will have the option to link your account if you do have a LinkedIn profile, but an account is not required.

While not required, linking your LinkedIn account allows for a more personalized experience based on your industry and profile and allows you to publish completion certificates to your account as well as any formal certifications completed via the LinkedIn Learning platform.

LinkedIn Learning Terminology

Video: Short micro-learning resources typically 2-10 minutes allowing you to get key learnings quickly.

Course: Focused instruction typically lasting 30 minutes to 1.5 hrs. Courses are made up of individual videos and can be start and stopped as needed.

Learning Path: Curated courses and/or videos focused on a broader topic for learners to explore in a sequential order.

Collection: Curated courses and videos on a broader topic for learners to explore in any order
