Into the Pink
An Oral History of Lesbian, Gay, and Bisexual Students at Oberlin College from 1937 to 1991
Transcribed from conversations recorded at the first reunion of the former Oberlin Lesbian, Gay, and Bisexual Alumni on October 12, 1991, Into the Pink is a collective testament of the vibrancy of the gay community at Oberlin College as well as a record of the many challenges, personal and political, that have been faced.
The participants, meeting in graduation year clusters, were asked to talk about gay life at Oberlin when they were here. Certain subjects dominated the discussions—individual experience and campus life, organizations and networks, academics and administration, and the national scene.
