Alumni Leadership Council

The Alumni Leadership Council (ALC) is the leadership body of the Oberlin College Alumni Association. Composed of volunteer leaders from the alumni body, the ALC manages the business of the Oberlin Alumni Association and works in coordination with the Office of Alumni Engagement (Office) to effectively create, implement, and manage activities that support the strategic plans and goals of the Office and Oberlin College and Conservatory.

ALC members serve as informed volunteers whose knowledge, volunteerism, and philanthropy make a positive difference in the life of Oberlin, strengthening both the alumni community and Oberlin for current and future students. They also serve as important communicators, offering valuable alumni perspectives to faculty and staff members at Oberlin.

In one sentence: ALC members serve as “volunteers of first call” to whom office staff turn for feedback on ideas and topics, assistance with implementing programs, generation of support, and creation of positive activity within Oberlin’s alumni community.
