Holly Handman-Lopez and Matthew Wright Collaborate on Musical

Professor of Theater Matthew Wright and Visiting Assistant Professor of Dance Holly Handman-Lopez collaborated on 33 1/3, a new musical, at Dobama Theater in Cleveland. Wright directed and Handman-Lopez choreographed 33 1/3, which won the Playwrights Guild of Canada Stage West Pechet Family’s Best New Musical Award. This world premiere production ran from June 27 to July 14, 2019.

Bob Bosch Presents Paper

Professor of Mathematics Bob Bosch presented a paper titled “Exploring Szpakowski’s Linear Ideas” at the 2019 Bridges Conference in Linz, Austria. The paper was coauthored by Abagael Cheng ‘20 and Ari Smith ‘19.

Clayton R. Koppes Presents Paper, Gives Presentation

Clayton R. Koppes, professor of history, and David L. Kelly, independent scholar, presented a paper, "On Cats' Paws: America Awakens to AIDS," at the Australia/New Zealand American Studies Association meeting in Auckland on July 15. The paper is part of their ongoing work on the history of HIV/AIDS in the United States. Koppes also gave a presentation in a plenary panel on "populism in America."

Zeb Page Publishes Paper

Associate Professor of Geology Zeb Page published a paper "Extreme oxygen isotope zoning in garnet and zircon from a metachert block in mélange reveals metasomatism at the peak of subduction metamorphism" in Geology with coauthors Emilia Cameron '15 and Clara Margaret Flood '18.

Martin Saavedra Presents at Conference
