Oberlin is committed to helping children and families who need assistance to participate in these programs through tuition reduction. Scholarships are given primarily for private lessons—one instrumental or voice lesson only; however, we do not want to limit any child from studying music because of financial need.

If you are in need of scholarship assistance for any of our classes, please indicate this in the box at the bottom of the form that says, ‘‘Briefly explain your need for scholarship and note any extenuating circumstances.’’ We will do our best to help those in need of assistance with the resources that are available to us.

Door Monitoring: In addition to offering scholarship assistance that is based on need, we also offer an additional way to defray the expense of lessons. Family members or adult students may serve as a front door monitor at the school.  For more information, please complete the Door Monitor Application at this link.

Scholarships will be determined based on family financial resources and number of children enrolled in the Community Music School.  The information you provide will be kept confidential and will only be used in determining the Community Music School financial aid awards.
