Application Information

The application process has two phases. In Phase 1, students submit a resume and complete an in-person screening application at Career Exploration and Development (CED). Finalists advance to Phase 2: the interview process. 

Application Steps

1. Submit Resume: Email a one-page PDF resume to Maria Baker (career@oberlin.edu). Resume resources are available on Handshake.
2. Register for Application: Sign up for one in-person application block via Handshake (Events → “2026-27 Ashby Business Scholars Application”). Each block is limited to 20 students:

• March 16–20, 2026
• 12:30–1:30 PM daily

3. Complete Screening Application: Attend your selected block at CED. The online exam evaluates problem-solving, leadership, knowledge of Oberlin, CED, the Ashby Business Scholars program, and business fundamentals, including professionalism and etiquette. Bring a fully charged device.

Selected scholars for 2026–27 will be notified in early June 2026.
