In the lead-up to our Early Decision deadline, I wanted to address some of the frequently asked questions we get from international students.

This fall, we're hosting four separate virtual panels on the Oberlin student experience so you learn directly from current students what it means to be an Obie!

The lead-up to May 1st is preparation for home-building. The next four years, wherever they may take you, are about solidifying that fit and that feeling of belonging.

Why I applied, why I enrolled, and what I learned in the process.

Intention is important to me as a reader, and nothing clues me in to that as much as your Extracurricular Activity essay.

The admissions process can feel like it is never-ending, but I love the adventure of it: next year, who knows where you'll be and who your best friends will be, and which clubs you'll have joined or founded?

In my hopes to convince my sister (and you, Oberlin prospies) that small schools are where it's at, I've compiled a short list of just a few of the reasons enumerating why going to a smaller school is the best.
