This semester, I really identify with my area of study, and I feel involved more than ever before.

The admissions staff are all really friendly and were more than willing to let me tag along to show you guys how an Oberlin tour works.

Homecoming is a foreign concept that I had only seen in movies and American pop culture.

This Fall Break, I did a little bit of everything.

I still think it’s remarkable that it's possible to take a leaf that I held in my hand, and get to a point where I can know the exact genetic sequence that lies deep in the nucleus of the plant cells.

A small part of me was pretty nervous for when I would encounter what I didn’t know.

The atmosphere of a school is more than just academics—it is made up of those tiny, everyday interactions and observations that define one’s relation to a place.

There were many things I didn’t expect about Oberlin.

I am very far from home.

I did not necessarily choose Oberlin, but rather Oberlin chose me.

Very recently, I have been taking strides to make more friends, not acquaintances.

I’ve only been here a month, and I already know it’s the best decision I’ve ever made.
