Research in the Mehta Lab

Manish Mehta’s research focuses on the structure and formation of crystals of small organic molecules, including pharmaceutical agents. Why organic molecules adopt the crystalline structures they do, and how they interconvert from one form to another, is a mystery. Using solid-state nuclear magnetic resonance, X-ray diffraction, and high-performance computing my students and I are investigating a series of small organic molecules. Since 2005, our work has been funded by the National Science Foundation.
