Tuba
Study of the tuba features private study, individualized instruction, private lessons, master classes, and performance opportunities in small and large ensembles that emphasize the development of technique and musicianship.

Orchestra on Tour
Oberlin sponsors approximately 500 concerts on campus each year, including recitals and concerts by the more than 25 student ensembles, including the Oberlin Orchestra. Select ensembles are also able to go on tour during winter term. The orchestra recently traveled to New York performing in Carnegie Hall and Dizzy’s Club Coca-Cola, and other venues. Most concerts are on campus in the historic Finney Chapel.

Seraph Brass Brings Music with a Mission to Oberlin’s Finney Chapel Stage
Mary Elizabeth Bowden, trumpet soloist and founder of Seraph Brass, realized at an early age that she wanted to pursue music as a career. In 2014, she moved forward with a long-standing goal of forming an all-female brass quintet, and Seraph Brass was born.
