Shelby Sterk

Biography

Shelby Sterk is the administrative assistant for the Center for Engaged Liberal Arts. She supports Fellowships & Awards, the Office of Undergraduate Research, Digital Portfolio, Study Away, Winter Term and the Center for Learning, Education and Research in the Sciences (CLEAR).

Shelby earned a BFA in photography & integrated media at Ohio University in 2016. She was a curatorial intern at the Kennedy Museum of Art and worked in the photo darkroom and equipment cage. Shelby completed an Artist Residency at Kala Art Institute in 2016, as well as the Midnight Sun Artist Residency through Light Grey Art Lab in Iceland in 2018. She went on to work in public libraries and the nonprofit sector, which led to her pursuing an MLIS with a focus in museum studies, at Kent State University, completed in 2022.
