Dedicated to increasing access to education. Everywhere.

Oberlin, in collaboration with the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) and the Global Foundation for the Performing Arts (GFPA), has established a partnership aimed at creating opportunities for students worldwide to pursue education at a select number of top colleges and universities in the United States.

As the only partner institution to offer undergraduate courses of study, Oberlin welcomes admitted students to complete degree programs in the College of Arts and Sciences as well as the Conservatory of Music. Students admitted into our groundbreaking Double Degree Program may pursue degrees in both the college and conservatory. Financial assistance is available from students’ home countries or from UNITAR and the GFPA.

Together, we can extend the reach of higher education and the arts, and foster deeper understanding among nations.

The UNITAR-Oberlin partnership extends beyond academic degree programs into a pre-collegiate curriculum that teaches English as a second language. Offered in the summer, this immersive program serves students who need to develop their language skills prior to entering a UNITAR program.

We offer an expansive and rigorous educational program with more than 40 academic majors in the College of Arts & Sciences, 42 areas of private, applied study across a range of disciplines in the Conservatory of Music, and more than a dozen interdisciplinary minors and integrative concentrations.
