December 2 concert signals launch of partnership to improve worldwide access to education and arts training.

Oberlin’s drive toward carbon neutrality will continue this spring with the third phase of construction for the Sustainable Infrastructure Program (SIP). Removing and replacing trees is necessary to upgrade the existing steam pipes with new low temperature hot water and chilled water pipes for the new geothermalenergy system. This week trees are being planted after the completion of year two construction. To continue to make way for efficient transmission of geothermal heating and cooling, select trees will be removed on campus the first week of January 2023.

One of several affinity houses, Harvey House (aka La Casa Hispánica) appeals to native-Spanish speakers of Hispanic heritage and non-Hispanic students wanting to immerse themselves in a Spanish-speaking environment.  

This fall, Weedie Braimah started a new Djembe Orchestra, in which students learn the history and music of the Djembe from the 12th century to the present day.

Located in Mudd Center’s lower level, the new complex of inter-related programs promotes experiential learning and strategic career development.

Abby Tejera Rocha is committed to making a positive impact on society through her educational outreach in STEM areas. Her accomplishments have been recognized by an international tech firm that recruited her to be a developer.

The next concert in Oberlin’s Artist Recital Series line-up will be performed by the acclaimed early music ensemble ACRONYM at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 15.

Oberlin Opera Theater will present a double bill of operas not seen on Oberlin stages previously—Offenbach’s operetta Le mariage aux lanternes ("The Wedding by Lantern Light") and Rossini’s burletta L'occasione fa il ladro ("Opportunity Makes a Thief")—in Hall Auditorium November 10-13.
