Celebrated violinist and pedagogue Midori concludes a two-part Oberlin residency on March 5, reuniting with pianist Özgür Aydin to perform a program inspired by poetry and folk music.

This April, Distinguished Artists in Residence Sharon Robinson and Jaime Laredo will share their musicianship and artistry with Oberlin Conservatory students in masterclasses, performances, and more.

Throughout his decades of playing chamber music, Emanuel Ax has kept his friends close. “ It’s wonderful to have people on stage that you like,” the pianist says. “I’m pretty gregarious as a person, so I like being with someone, especially old friends.”

Oberlin Conservatory is proud to announce the return of the Richard Miller Classical Voice Competition for High School Students, a festival aimed at encouraging and supporting high school students in the pursuit of a career in classical vocal music. The festival is named in honor of Richard Miller, a member of the voice faculty at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music for more than 40 years.

This fall, the Oberlin Opera Theater is set to transport audiences to a world of enchantment with its production of Jules Massenet's Cendrillon. This beloved opera weaves a tale of love, magic, and transformation.

This December, Oberlin will present a concert version of Rhiannon Giddens’ award-winning opera, both at Finney Chapel in Oberlin and the Maltz Performing Arts Center in Cleveland. Surrounding it are all kinds of cross-disciplinary events for campus and community.

The award-winning Takács Quartet—now celebrating its 50th anniversary season—is joined by bandoneón-accordion virtuoso Julien Labro in concert on the Finney Chapel stage.

The award-winning stage director joins Oberlin Conservatory's Voice Division, where she will teach and direct two fully-staged opera productions each academic year.
