As a top producer of Fulbrights among baccalaureate institutions, Oberlin continues its long tradition of preparing graduates to live and learn abroad through the Fulbright English Teaching Assistant program.

An art history and East Asian studies double major with an education studies concentration, Lai is constantly striving to learn more about pedagogy and language acquisition. 

Arman Luczkow will apply his leadership and language skills as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant in Taiwan. 

The ACSL Fellowship focuses its support on early-career, untenured scholars. In addition to funding, the award will allow Levett to decrease her teaching load and devote more time to her current book project on surrealism in Arab literature. 

A creative writing and cinema studies double major, Stern will teach English literature to K-12 students through a program based in Athens College. 

A theater and creative writing major, Gutterman-Johns hopes to learn more about teaching and pedagogy with the Fulbright program in the Czech Republic.  

The three-time Max Kade German Writer in Residence will give a public reading of his works in English on April 26 in the German House lounge. 

The awards are peer recognition of an artist's body of work, and support artists' growth and development in Ohio and beyond. 

A collaboration with an Alaska Native activist leads to a widely accessible digital exhibition, and breathes new life into a nearly forgotten collection of cultural items kept at Oberlin for more than a century. 

For the next two years, Rohde will teach middle and upper school English while simultaneously earning a master’s in education through UPenn’s Independent School Teaching Residency.
