Starting in the new year, the search for a new VP/Dean of Admissions/Financial Aid began again in earnest. Ads for the position have been placed in a variety of outlets, with our consultants at Witt-Kieffer actively recruiting and building the prospective candidate pool.

New Instruments Bolster Science Research Capabilities

This January, through a combination of charitable gifts and funds from the college, the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry acquired two new instruments that will greatly enhance teaching and research in many areas of chemistry and biochemistry, including environmental and forensic analysis, biochemical and peptide/protein studies, and synthesis of new bioorganic and organic compounds.

Marvin Krislov Named Pace University President

Marvin Krislov, the president of Oberlin College, announced today that he has agreed to become president of Pace University in New York City, on August 1, 2017. Mr. Krislov, who has served as Oberlin’s 14th president since 2007, had previously announced he would be leaving Oberlin at the end of the current academic year.

Frandsen Named President of Wittenberg University

Vice President for Finance and Administration Mike Frandsen has announced that he will be leaving Oberlin College at the end of the 2016-2017 academic year to become the President of Wittenberg University beginning July 1.
