Oberlin Jazz Ensemble Residency

Jazz trumpet player and award-winning composer Michael Philip Mossman '82 returned to Oberlin for a residency in March. Mossman, director of jazz studies at the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College/CUNY, joined the Oberlin Jazz Ensemble as a guest trumpet player. During the concert, the group performed several of his harmonically and rhythmically imaginative arrangements of jazz standards.
