Soundpainting hosted by Drew Pattison '10, Associate Professor of Bassoon

Join us for a fun intro to Soundpainting, a 50 year-old artistic sign language for interdisciplinary collaboration and creative exploration. Arts lovers, artists, and former artists from all backgrounds (music, dance, theater, literature, visual arts) are welcome, as we explore the signs and create together in real time. The soundpainter gives physical hand signs to the group to lead the composition. It’s a wonderful way for people of all experience levels and backgrounds to authentically collaborate. No need to be in shape with your discipline, soundpainting is completely open and not demanding. There are no mistakes and the focus is on expression, observation, and creativity.
