Program Overview
The Center for DEI Innovation & Leadership aims to elevate and amplify a community of students, leaders, and changemakers advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion thinking and practice with excellence.
The Changemakers Undergraduate Fellowship Program offers cohort-based academic and experiential immersion into racial inequities. Fellows complete coursework and connect their learning to a high-quality internship or experiential opportunity (through Oberlin's Internship+ Commitment). The program supports students pursuing questions about race and racism across systems and outcomes—including criminal justice, housing, health care, income inequality, and beyond.
The fellowship is open to rising third-year students of all majors. For conservatory students, the focus may center on the role of music-making and artistry in advancing racial equity through coursework, internships, festivals, gigs, and socially engaged creative work.
