Access to Studio Arts Courses

Request Consent for a Studio Art Course 

​Studio Art Consent Request Timeline - Spring 2026

In order to be considered for a seat in any introductory or intermediate studio art course, students are required to submit a consent request form. Submission is required in order to obtain consent to enroll in introductory and intermediate studio art courses.

·       Sunday, November 9 - 1st Round consent requests due by 11:59 PM
·       Tuesday, November 11th – 1st round acceptance emails will be sent out
·       Sunday, November 16 – 2nd round consent requests due by 11:59 PM
·      Tuesday, November 18th - 2nd round acceptance emails will be sent out

Emails will only be sent out if you are accepted into a class. Please only request access for courses that you are committed to enrolling in. It is very common to receive consent into 2nd & 3rd choice courses.

Available to all Studio Art majors and students enrolled in studio art courses

Large format inkjet printing available in 17" & 44”  width

Large format inkjet costs: $.04 per square inch
Laserjet print costs: $1.00/sheet color, $0.10/sheet B&W
Vinyl cutter costs: $0.15/linear inch
3D print costs: $0.10/gram

Software Applications Available

Riso monitor hours: Saturday, 1:00-4:00 PM

Fabrication Lab

Venturi Art Building, room 064

Available to all Studio Art majors and enrolled students upon training

Tools & Resources: ShopBot CNC Router, Universal Laser Cutter, SawStop Table Saw, Bandsaws, Miter Saws, Scroll Saw, Planer, Jointer, Power tools, drills, routers, and jig saws

Photography Lab

Venturi Art Building, room 162B

Available to all Photography and Capstone Student

Large format inkjet printing available in 17" & 44”  width

Photo Luster Paper available

Cost: $.04 per square inch

3D Printers

Available to students enrolled in a studio art course

Only white filament is available.

Free Life Drawing Sessions

South Dome, Willard Court directly behind the Ward Art Building / AMAM

The sessions are free to attend, but participants must bring their own supplies. Open to all currently enrolled Oberlin Students
