Yeworkwha Belachew (YB) has been a pillar of this community for the past 35 years. In October, we honored her by renaming the OCDC as the Yeworkwha Belachew Center for Dialogue at Oberlin College. We honor her today by creating a new staff award that will bear her name.

I am deeply saddened by the news that Nancy Dye, Oberlin’s 13th president, has passed away. Nancy had a profound, positive effect on Oberlin College and Conservatory, building our international engagement and profile, stabilizing and strengthening our finances, and expanding our curriculum.
