Biography

Ledina Imami is a social psychologist interested in health and well-being. A key focus of her work is to understand how constraints in pursuing one’s goals can influence physical health, particularly when these constraints stem from confrontations with poverty, inequality, or other forms of social disempowerment. In a related line of work, she investigates the motivational consequences of perceiving oneself in a low-status or low-power position, the implications of these processes for self-regulatory success, and their downstream consequences for well-being.
