Biography

JeffriAnne Wilder is a sociologist, writer, and leading thought leader. As a consultant, speaker, coach, and commentator, JeffriAnne specializes in various aspects of intersectional equity, including anti-racism and women’s empowerment. 

JeffriAnne holds a PhD in sociology from the University of Florida. In addition to her studies in sociology, she also completed a PhD concentration in women’s studies and gender research. JeffriAnne earned an MA in sociology at Cleveland State University, and a BA at Allegheny College. 

Wilder has also served in a variety of faculty roles and administrative capacities. From 2008 to 2018, JeffriAnne served on the faculty at the University of North Florida as a tenured Associate Professor of Sociology and the founding director of the Institute for the Study of Race and Ethnic Relations. 

From 2018 to 2023, JeffriAnne served as senior research faculty & director of racial equity for the National Center for Women & Information Technology (NCWIT). JeffriAnne recently served as the curriculum designer and senior lecturer for Glasgow Caledonian New York College, home to one of the nation’s first global master’s degree programs in diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) leadership.

As the mother of two daughters, JeffriAnne is committed to amplifying the voices of single and working mothers and advocating for more family-friendly workplace policies, including paid parental leave, better childcare, flex-time, and accelerating equity for moms of color.
