Living Learning Communities (LLCs)
Living Learning Communities (LLCs) offer students the opportunity to live in dynamic residential spaces centered around shared interests, intercultural exchange, or languages. With options for language-based, intercultural exchange, and interest-based housing, LLCs provide a supportive environment where students can build meaningful connections, explore their passions, and engage in tailored programs and events. LLC residents benefit from faculty engagement and unique opportunities that promote connection and collaboration, creating a vibrant and inclusive living environment. Living Learning Communities are available to all Oberlin students.

Interest-based Community Creation Process
Placement into any of our LLCs requires an application. This application can be completed when applying for housing by selecting up to three (3) communities and ranking your preferences. Faculty/staff advisors and Residence Life staff will review applications and approve students for each respective lottery.
You are permitted to select housing in only one community. Priority in the application selection process will be given to students who meet the published deadlines. Available spaces during your lottery time will be determined by the availability of space and each student’s ranking order.
