Professional Travel Support

The dean’s office encourages participation in professional meetings, conferences, and workshops that support teaching and research. Events must include a scholarly or creative presentation; visual and performing arts events (e.g., gallery shows, performances) may also qualify.

Eligibility: Faculty teaching at least three courses (half-time) are eligible.

Reimbursement Limits:

  • First conference up to $1,000
  • Second conference (with documentation of contribution) up to $800
  • One international conference (in lieu of others, with documentation of contribution) up to $1,800

Reimbursable Expenses:

  • Economy airfare/mileage (<300 mi one-way)
  • Hotel/lodging and airport transfers
  • Registration or admission fees (Note: Membership fees are not reimbursable unless membership reduces registration cost.)
  • Meals (with itemized receipts)
