The Oberlin Creative Music Lab specializes in contemporary, open-form, and guided improvisation while performing existing works written for creative music ensemble.
Creative Music refers to the approach of music making established and embodied by the Association for the Advancement of Creative Musicians. The course seeks to honor the AACM model through a laboratory environment that allows musical exploration and experimentation.
This concert will feature new works written and performed by members of the Creative Music Lab.
The Fall 2025 Creative Music Lab is led by Dana Jessen and includes:
