In their second and third years, students choose majors and begin to deepen their engagement with an academic subject through advanced coursework as well as cocurricular and professional experiences.

The Sophomore Opportunities and Academic Resources (SOAR) program and Junior Practicum are designed to help Obies build academic and professional portfolios they can use to apply for fellowships, internships, grants and other opportunities as they arise.
