For some reason, people seem obsessed by the image of cornfields. Yes, it's true that in the countryside of Lorain County there are lots of small farms, but there are no cornfields visible from the campus, no cows grazing on Tappan Square.

I somehow missed this in the Washington Post on Saturday, but it's exciting: Our own Marvin Krislov, Oberlin College's president, wrote an op-ed about voting rights for students.

Okay, time to introduce myself.

My packed day of activities this weekend was a perfect example of Oberlin's environmentalism, and I'm glad there were a ton of prospective students (aka prospies) here to see them.
