Janelle Ickes ’22

Hi! My name is Janelle, I'm from Nashville, Tennessee and I'm an English major. Since I'm a junior, I'm off-campus for the fall, but when I'm on campus, you can usually find me drinking DeCafe smoothies, visiting the kittens at Ginko Gallery, or doing work/accidentally falling asleep in a womb chair in Mudd. And although I’m not in the Conservatory, I have a lot of interest in music and love exploring all that Oberlin has to offer in terms of musical events!

Some random facts about me are that I eat a lot of cereal, I can’t keep plants alive, I love going to record stores to buy vinyl and CDs, and I want to work in a bakery someday. I loved reading the Oberlin blogs when I was a prospective student and I am so glad that I get to be a part of them!
