Neuroscience students with a minimum GPA of 3.1 in the major are invited to apply to the Honors Program in neuroscience.
During the second semester of the junior year or earlier, students wishing to enter the Honors Program should discuss their interest with one or more of the neuroscience faculty and submit a Statement of Interest form to the department. Students with proven ability and independence are encouraged to consider this academic opportunity.
Faculty members who are able to work with a student will help them develop an appropriate research project proposal. To be formally accepted into the Honors Program, a student must submit a research proposal to the department early in the first semester of their senior year. Proposals are judged for their quality and feasibility.
Upon acceptance into the Honors Program, students should enroll in the NSCI 607 Research course to work on a research project with an individual investigator.
