Student-Produced Films

The Cinema and Media Program curriculum includes production as well as critical studies courses. Students have the opportunity to explore various dimensions of cinema and to become familiar with a broad spectrum of media.

Student-produced films are often shown during special film screenings and as a senior project. Some advanced film courses provide samples of student work through the video platform, Vimeo.

Postproduction Suite

Cinema and Media Program majors may edit and fine-tune their films in the Danny DeVito and Rhea Perlman Cinema Studies Center for Media Education and Production, a space on the second floor of the Apollo Theatre. The suite includes a postproduction lab, a sound recording studio and isolation booth, a multipurpose space that can function as a shooting studio with green screen, a color correction suite, and a simple animation room.

Select students also have opportunities to screen their films in the 61-seat screening room.
