2020 All Roads programs: April 9–10, 16–17, or 23–24
Get to know Oberlin by visiting campus in April during one of our special visit programs for admitted students.
The All Roads Lead to Oberlin visit days feature opportunities for you to observe classes, interact with faculty and staff, take campus tours, dine with current students, spend the night in our residence halls, attend performances, and learn about all that Oberlin has to offer.
Come and experience the distinct feel of the Oberlin community!
Each All Roads program offers a full schedule of activities and events tailored to admitted students and their family members. When planning your individual schedule and travel, we wanted to provide some general guidance.
Arriving on Thursday
We encourage admitted students and parents to spend both Thursday and Friday with us, but we also understand that this will not be possible for everyone. For those who are able to arrive on Thursday, please check in at the registration table between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Arriving on Thursday allows for you to attend the following: welcome luncheon, campus tour, class visits, visit the art museum, attend our evening receptions and sessions, have dinner with current students on campus, stay overnight in the residence halls, and experience the evening/night life of Oberlin College.
For those arriving on Thursday, we still strongly advise you to plan to stay on campus throughout the entire Friday program (concluding at around 5:30 p.m.) to take full advantage of opportunities to hear from Oberlin’s president, meet with faculty, and get to know current students.
Arriving on Friday
We will open registration again early on Friday morning so that families can still arrive on Friday and participate in the full day of programming. For Friday arrivals, we recommend getting to campus by 8:15 a.m. if possible, although we will keep registration open through 10 am. Please plan to stay on campus throughout the entire Friday program.

Upon arriving to campus, students will have the opportunity to view and select at least one class to observe. There is no need to make class visit arrangements in advance, as the admissions staff has already checked with faculty on which classes will have space for visitors and will not be having an exam when you visit.
Class selections can be arranged in the Admissions Office during check-in. A large selection of classes will be available to visiting students, but not every academic department will be represented on each program date. Once you select a class, you will be given a label sharing details of the class visit.
All visitors are encouraged to attend the Academic Department Fair from 3:30–4:30 p.m. on Fridays to ensure interaction with faculty who teach in your academic interest areas.
Upon arriving to campus, students and family members will have the opportunity to sign up for a campus tour in the Admissions Office. The following tour times will be offered during each All Roads Lead to Oberlin:
If attending an All Roads Lead to Oberlin program, admitted students can choose to spend the night in a college residence hall with an Oberlin student host.
When you register for All Roads, please indicate whether you'd like to spend the night on campus and if you'd prefer for Admissions to match you with a student host. You can spend either Thursday or Friday night on campus with an overnight host. Despite which night you choose to stay, or even if you choose not to stay in a residence hall, you are still welcome to participate in all evening programming and events throughout the visit program!
Please note the following, if requesting to be matched by Admissions with a student host:
- Register your visit online at least 5 days in advance and select the date for your overnight stay.
- You may stay with an Admissions host for one night only.
- This option is available for students who have not previously stayed overnight on campus.
Already know a student?
Admitted students who already know a current student are encouraged to stay with their friends and can register through the "arrange my own host" option.
Are you a recruited athlete?
Admitted student athletes should plan to work with coaches to stay overnight with team members.
If spending the night in a residence hall, students should bring a sleeping bag, pillow, and any personal toiletries needed.
Admitted students will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of fun and interesting evening activities during the Thursdays and or Fridays of All Roads. Some of the options available to students will include ExCo classes, bowling, a bonfire, observatory viewings, dancing, games, and many performances. Parents are also welcome to attend any of the campus performances, some of which require tickets, viewable on the Oberlin events calendar .
A limited supply of tickets may be available at the Admissions Office on a first-come basis. To guarantee your seats for an upcoming theater or dance performance, we recommend purchasing tickets online at any time before or during your visit.
The Office of Admissions is located at: 38 East College St., Oberlin, Ohio, 44074. The Office of Admissions is connected to the Hotel at Oberlin and is part of the Peter B. Lewis Gateway Center at the corner of East College Street and North Main Street.

Can't make it to one of the three All Roads Programs? You can still visit campus on all other days when the Admissions Office is open.
View the calendar to see other days that may work for a campus visit!
To ensure double-degree admitted students are able to experience both the college and conservatory during their participation in the All Roads Lead to Oberlin program, we recommend:
Step 1: Reach out to the faculty to arrange a lesson or meeting. We recommend doing this first as their schedules are most variable. If the faculty member with whom you need to meet is not available on an All Roads Lead to Oberlin day, you may want to consider coming to campus when they are available.
Step 2: Look through the schedule of classes, ensemble rehearsals, and tours. Admitted conservatory students may attend anything listed on our schedule. If that event conflicts with something scheduled as part of the All Roads Lead to Oberlin programming, you are welcome to attend the activity you feel is of greatest interest. NOTE: Admitted college students who have musical interests will have a selection of conservatory courses available to attend, which will be displayed and selected when you arrive on campus.
Step 3: Register for All Roads Lead to Oberlin. With your planned conservatory activities in mind, proceed to register for All Roads Lead to Oberlin events and classes in the college that fit within that schedule.
Step 4: Attend the Double-Degree Student Meet and Greet on Friday mornings of each All Roads Lead to Oberlin program. This welcome will take place in Bibbins Hall, Room 224 from 9-9:50am.
